Website Facelift

Saturday, June 3rd, 2006

Thanks for all the positive feedback we’ve had regarding the website’s new look! It’s actually just a different Wordpress theme, changed from the default one. Here’s how D and I went “shopping” for it:

d: i like the red one kase mejo strikng [red kase]
ej: yeah the red one is the least boring
d: yeah
d: i also like yung sinend mo kanina.[2nd one]
ej: blue one?
d: yes..night life eh
ej: which one would suit the wasapers.com identity kaya?
d: by the way, theyre both blue noh
ej: haha night life
d: 2nd one
ej: yah blue din haha
d: most of the people in wasapers are call center agents, insomniacs
d: like u
ej: haha
ej: so baka mabulag sila sa red?
d: ahmm..i think its better if we stick with the blue one coz the forum is also blue? hehe..for uniformity lang
d: but yeah i like the red one. But if you’re gonna ask me what’s more appropriate for wasapers, i’d say the blue one

So there you have it, folks. Here’s to making the Wasapers.com website a better experience for its online community. The difference was obvious in our Ututang-dila chatroom, less than 24 hours after the “enhancement”:

Pinoy Podcasters Unite

Wednesday, May 31st, 2006

So hey! We finally got a recorded copy of the May 4 radio interview about Pinoy Podcasting from Monster Radio RX 93.1 FM. The catch is that since the Heard On Thursdays show lasts for an hour, the mp3 file is like, 81MB!

Nevertheless, we will find a way to post it online. Then you can download it and listen to the geek that I am make a fool of himself live on-air! Wheee!! Read more about this in our Bull Board forum.

Thanks to Manong Guard and Obet for the copy I got through them when I met up with more of the gang that has been dubbed as the “Kapisanan ng mga Podkaster ng Pilipinas”. The Manila-based Pinoy Podcasters met up on May 26 at Phi Resto Bar in Metrowalk, Ortigas.

There’s another photo of the event over at Manuel’s Secondthoughts. It is also mentioned on The Basang Sisiw Show website.

Radio Interview Update

Monday, May 8th, 2006

We’re still waiting for our copy of the Pinoy Podcasting interview that was the May 4 “Heard On Thursdays” episode on Monster Radio RX 93.1 FM, hosted by Rafael Reyes.

Wasapers.com crew member and Basang Sisiw Show “man on the street”, E.J. Padero, tagged along with the BSS’s Jay Estaris, a.k.a. “Manong Guard”. They were also joined by “Chica” of the Putanginamo!com Show. She flew in to Manila just for the interview (not!).
