Back to Our Regular Programming

What? It’s 2007 already?! Whoa. I guess the crew had one doobie too many last year. Time is fun when you’re having flies, as the great Kermit says. Master Yoda also has some words of wisdom:

So Wasapers.com turned a year old on April 10. The crew split up to have a bi-location celebration. Gato-chrome and D went up to Baguio as GC got a taste of traditional Igorot chiro therapy on his first trip up in the Cordillera mountains. Sarah and yours truly went road-tripping a week early and swung over to Subic Bay and then to Mt. Samat, Bataaan.

Being caught up with activities IRL (i.e. that four-letter obscenity a.k.a. w-o-r-k), the domain and hosting renewal of this website completely slipped my mind! Yes, I am to blame for the downtime. Wasapers.com was offline for a week and a couple of days as I stumbled about the business of renewing the domain and then transferring and restoring our files to a new host. With all that said and done, we are now back to our regular programming. Yay!

Thanks for the tech support from Vannie of FiestaHosting for our domain name. Thanks a million to Matthew and Marlon of Web.com.ph for all the help in getting our files restored and back online!

Now all we have to do is put some new junk up here – our own personal contributions to the flotsam on the Internet. The Pinoy Podcasting scene has mellowed, but there are still a couple of shows that have been or are still churning out new episodes.

There’s one by our Kapisanan ng mga Podkaster ng Pilipinas friends, Obet and Chica, over at the Putanginamo.com Show, for example.

However, as Manuel Viloria defines podfading,

Podfading is what happens when people start podcasts and are later unable to continue adding episodes.

Manuel goes on to say that it is not permanent. Resurrecting podcasts is always possible, just like what Jeric’s BrinkNotes Podcast has shown us.

Of late, most activity here at Wasapers.com has been over at The Bull Board forum and our Ututang Dila chatroom.

Thanks for being part of Wasapers.com, y’all. There could also be more episodes of our Kwentong Barbero Podcast – “one of these days…”
